Features of High-Quality Online Courses in Higher Education: A Scoping Review

چکیده

What are the features of high-quality online courses in higher education? In this scoping review, we explore peer-reviewed scholarship related to learning postsecondary contexts. We searched ERIC (EBSCO), Education Research Complete, and SocINDEX with Fulltext retrieve literature from 2010-2022 pertaining education. Two reviewers independently conducted initial title abstract screening (n = 1,574), full text review 483), data extraction included articles 38). Using thematic content analysis extracted each article, found that predominately quality course design, instructor facilitation courses, assessment student engagement courses. The breadth these themes a multiplicity strategies approaches consider when designing experiences. recommend administrators, faculty members, instructors responsible for programs contexts continue incorporate considerations promote consistent offerings. conclude by presenting four high-level guide discussions.
